WILBARO GWIAN

The “WILBARO” is our own creation associating different performing artistes.

In “WILBARO”, the wheelbarrow symbolizes the tool each human being is using to make his life journey and consequences of his acts on earth’s destiny. As GWI Artistes Network, art is our wheelbarrow, our tool to bring awareness campaign to the society about our individual and global responsibilities on environmental issues.

The 1st “WILBARO” was premiered on 20th December 2008 with “Climate Change Orchestra” musicians and modern contemporary dancers from “Others Company”.

From the reactions, we feel that pro-active involvement of the community in issues related to climate change and global warming is required urgently. We just creat a 2nd WILBARO show with 43 artistes from our network. A powerfull inovation by dancers, acrobats, drummers, actors, poets and singers dedicating their inspiration to Edutain and combat Climate Change. Premiered at the Village Market in Nairobi, Kenya this 5th June 2009 to celebrate the World Environment Day, WILBARO show was performed also at the French School this 13th June 2009.

Now, the show is ready to be performed anytime, especially to the Kenyan communities and youth. Our Edutainment concept is mostly targeting them as a tool to bring environmental awareness so that they become also agent of change.

Each individual has to get part of the global combat to reverse Climate Change.

WILBARO is a show not to miss.
